The definition of, choreography, is: “the art of symbolically representing dancing.” Dancing is a way of moving the body to express meaning and ideas or tell a story. Mady’s Dance Factory has classes for all types of dance including hip hop, ballet, jazz and tap, acrobatics, and more, as well as many classes for adults. We want to teach our dancers a variety of movements so they can explore developing their own choreography that expresses their unique ideas or story they want to tell.
Personal
By experimenting with different dance types and using their imagination, students are able to artistically express their personality—their own individuality—through dance. Students can select from their “choreography toolkit” the dance types they want to use to design an original routine illustrating who they are. Our Leaps and Turns class challenges dancers to hone their technique of specific movements enabling them to better articulate meaning through motion. Collaborative
Working with others to design routines and performing team choreography in sync with one another cultivates a supportive and collaborative environment. In our Acro class, students are gently guided to increase their flexibility and balance and learn discipline and muscle control. Working on teams requires concentration, the ability to remain focused, and the willingness to compromise. These are valuable skills to have both in school and in today’s work environment.
Professional
Whether one of our dancers wants to continue dancing in preparation to be a professional dancer or for the motivation it gives them to pursue their own passions, developing choreography increases students’ professionalism. A large part of developing a dance routine involves understanding one’s audience and making it interesting for them. While a choreographer strives to express their individuality, they must also make their performance entertaining and enjoyable. Our choreographers and dancers spend a great deal of time inventing, revising, and practicing their routines in order to ensure their dance routine engages their audience.
Inspirational
Choreography is the arrangements of movements that a dancer performs to express meaning, share ideas, and tell a story. Choreography stimulates dancers’ personal development, mentally challenges dancers, and polishes students’ professionalism. Most of all, dancing motivates students to inspire others by sharing their passion for dance.
April is an exciting month at Mady’s Dance Factory! We're officially counting down to two MAJOR events happening within our dance family. First, we’re gearing up for one of our favorite times of the year - summer. It's time for another great year of summer camp!
Mady's Dance Factory Summer Camp is a great way for our young ones to meet new friends, try new dance styles, watch movies and have fun with hands-on crafts. Not to mention weekly field trips, dance parties and so much more. We will also be taking the time to brush up on some dancing skills. We’ll be working on: Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Leaps and Turns, Lyrical, Jazz Funk, Acro and EVEN ACTING!
That brings us to the second major happening! We’re thrilled to announce that we will be hosting this year’s summer camp at our brand new studio! We know you’ll love the additional rooms so dancers can practice within their own age groups and fun outdoor spaces for kids to enjoy.

Starting April 16th, 2018 you will be able to spot clues in our social media posts (Facebook & Instagram). We will be sharing clues through April 27th and announcing our winner at random on May 1st, 2018.

Circus Beatz End of Year Show Preview
Come one, come all to the greatest show on earth!
Why will it be the greatest? Because YOUR children are in it, of course!
The theme of the 2018 Mady's Dance Factory end of year show is Circus Beatz. And, your daughters and sons have been working really hard to bring the magic of the circus to you.
We can't give away all of the surprises - what fun would that be? But, we can share a few sneak peaks.
Lions, elephants and dancers - oh my!
Hip hop dancing lions, pirouetting elephants and an acro performance dogs are all making an appearance at Circus Beatz.
Death-defying tricks
Don't worry! No child was put in danger during the making of Circus Beatz but there will be mini-lion tamers, a snake tamer and hip hopping cannon ballers and tight rope walkers.
The most talent you can pack into one room
Our dancers are pushing their skills to the limit. Ready to wow you with their skills are unicycling dancers, acrobatic magicians, hoolah hooping masters and mimes.
Guest appearance
What's the perfect accompaniment to dance? Singing of course! We have a special guest performance at this year's show. Here's a few hints:
